Web Usability
How to improve your website's usability (and why it matters)
Apr 8, 2026 · 6 min read
Usability is the difference between a site people use and one they abandon. It isn't about adding features, but about removing friction so users get what they came for without thinking.
Clear, predictable navigation
Short menus, labels that say what you'll find, and a coherent structure. If users can't tell where they are or where to go within seconds, they leave.
Speed and mobile
Most visits are on mobile. A site that loads fast and works well on a small screen isn't an extra: it's the minimum. Optimise images, avoid unnecessary scripts and test on real devices.
Obvious actions
Every page should have a clear goal and a button that makes it easy. Contrast, size and specific wording («Request a quote») convert far better than a generic «Submit».
Measure and improve
Usability is never finished: analyse real behaviour, find where users get stuck and iterate. Small, sustained changes have a huge impact on conversion.
